Description
The INTELLIGENT ROBOTS AND MECHATRONICS LAB is built around two industrial-standard conveyor units each powered by one 1FL2 servomotor. The closed-loop positioning control is assured by the new Siemens servo-drive S200. The motion synchronisation is assured by the Siemens S7-1200 PLC via Profinet communication topology. Two robotic arms (with 4 DoF and electric gripper) are used to combine 3D printed subassemblies into one final product. Each robot is controlled by one OpenCR board, an open-source hardware/software platform, used for robot control.
